The suspense that hangs over the top of the lightweight division appears to have come to an end. At least second Tony Ferguson. The North American used his personal Twitter to “announce” his fight against Khabib Nurmagomedov, which could be worth the interim lightweight belt. That's because the champion Conor McGregor will take a sabbatical to await the arrival of her first child.

Ferguson posted a photo of the “anti-doping kit” offered by USADA and took the opportunity to say that he will resolve his problems with his Russian rival inside the Octagon at UFC 209, which takes place on March 4th.

“USADA showed up and I responded. See you (Nurmagomedov) on March 4th and we will resolve this once and for all inside the Octagon, at UFC 209,” Ferguson posted.

The American lightweight comes from nine straight victories in Ultimate, with the most recent being over the former champion Rafael Dos Anjos. Khabib, undefeated in MMA with 24 wins, won eight fights for the UFC. The main event of UFC 209 will be a welterweight title rematch between the champion Tyron woodley and the challenger Stephen Thompson.
