New UFC bantamweight champion, cody garbrandt surprised by dominating technically and mentally Dominick Cruz at UFC 207, held last Friday (30), in Las Vegas (USA). The superiority was such that his coach, Justin Buchholz, compared Cody to none other than Mike Tyson, boxing legend.

“We had some fights with Cruz's team before this fight, street fight situations, and when I realized that, I was confident in Cody's mentality. (…) This guy is from the streets of Uhrichsville, Ohio. He's been stabbed, he has teeth in his knuckles, he had to fight adults when he was a teenager. It's a mentality Mike Tyson what he has. He thinks, “Oh, are you talking nonsense about me and my friends? Let's settle it behind the school. Bring your friends, I'll take mine. It’s a fight.” He loves this kind of thing. It's going to be difficult for them to get into his head. His mentality couldn’t be better,” declared Buchholz, in an interview with the radio program “Toe-2-Toe” (USA).
At 25 years old, 'No Love' still doesn't know what it's like to lose in professional MMA, having won the 12 fights he's had, ten of them by knockout. In 2016, he outperformed the four opponents he faced, including Brazilians Augusto Tanquinho and Thomas almeida.
