Ronda Rousey receives 45 days of medical suspension after UFC 207

Four fighters, including two Brazilians, received 180 days of medical suspension

The Nevada Athletic Commission (NSAC), the body responsible for organizing UFC 207, held last Friday, December 30, in Las Vegas (USA), issued mandatory medical suspensions for fighters who performed at the event. Ronda Rousey, knocked out by Amanda nunes in just 48 seconds, he received a 45-day suspension. The Brazilian, who suffered practically no damage, did not receive any punishment.

Another who received 45 days was the former bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz, defeated by Cody Gabrandt in the second most important fight of the show. His tormentor was suspended for 30 days, with no contact with training for 21 days as a precaution.

The biggest suspensions on the card involve two Brazilians: John Lineker and Alex Cowboy they received 180 days each. The “Stone Hands” left with a broken jaw, while the welterweight had his nose broken. Both will be able to return sooner than expected, if they obtain medical clearance. In addition to the duo, the newcomer Niko Price and Ray Borg were also suspended for six months.

Ray Borg: suspended for 180 days or until your left ankle is recovered and cleared by a doctor; independently, suspended for 30 days with no contact with training for 21 days as a precaution;
Louis Smolka: suspended for 30 days due to lacerations near both eyes;
John hendricks: suspended for 45 days, no contact with training for 30 days due to scalp laceration;
Marvin vettori: suspended for 21 days, no contact with training for 14 days as a precaution;
Mike pyle: suspended for 60 days, no contact with training for 45 days as a precaution;
Niko Price: suspended for 180 days or until his right main toe is recovered and cleared by a doctor; independently, suspended for 30 days, no contact with training for 21 days as a precaution;
Alex Cowboy: Suspended for 180 days or until your broken nose has recovered and been cleared by a doctor; independently, suspended for 60 days, no contact with training for 45 days as a precaution.
