At 25 years old, the undefeated fighter revealed that he is not thinking about defending his belt next, but rather putting on a super fight that will bring him a lot of money and notoriety. For this, his main target is the Brazilian José Aldo, featherweight champion, one category above.

“I need to sit down with Dana (White) and Sean (Shelby) to find out which fight is the most profitable (“money fight”) for me. I know I can go up and fight Aldo. He has victories over my teammates, he is a legend and I would like to test his chin. I think I've even heard Aldo say that he would like to fight me. I want the biggest name”, he declared, in an interview with the program 'MMA Hour' (USA).

Even the name of Conor McGregor, who holds the belt in two categories above – lightweight – was mentioned by the new bantamweight champion. “And, of course, the big fight with Conor. He has something with my friend Nate diaz, but I'm number two on that list. There are several fights for me in my division. I’ll fight anyone”, concluded the young man.

Cody Gabrandt still doesn't know what it's like to lose in professional MMA, having won the 12 fights he's had, ten of them by knockout. In 2016, he outperformed the four opponents he faced, including Brazilians Augusto Tanquinho and Thomas Almeidas and, of course, more recently the now former champion Dominick Cruz.

Fatal change? Makhachev ignores warning and could end tragically at welterweight!
