New bantamweight champion, cody garbrandt You already know who you want to defend your belt against. Contrary to what he suggested in the post-fight interview, No Love is thinking about a rematch against the man who “gave” him the title: Dominick Cruz.

“You know, I had so much fun against Cruz, I would like to fight him again. Come on, I want another fight against Dominick Cruz. I'm the man, I'm the champion and I do whatever I want. I want to fight Cruz and then I'll deal with TJ Dillashaw”, commented the new champion in a post-fight press conference.
Garbrandt also made his case on why he thinks he is Fighter of the Year, in a 2016 with several strong contenders like Conor McGregor, Michael Bisping e Amanda nunes.
“I went from unranked to world champion in the same year. I'm the baddest guy in the world. You can bring them all and I will beat them,” she commented.
Garbrandt started 2016 by winning the Brazilian promise Thomas almeida by knockout in May. At UFC 202 in August, he also knocked out Takeya Mizugaki, ending the year with a victory over Cruz.
