Khabib Nurmagomedov didn't like Dana White confirming his refusal to fight with José Aldo and used his Instagram profile to explain why he didn't want to face the featherweight champion.

“This is a message for the UFC. It's clear to everyone that you're hiding Conor McGregor of me. But stop lying to the fans, like I don't want to fight Aldo. I'm ready to fight anyone in my division. I want a relevant fight, so that you can no longer hide the belt from me. But I don't want a fight where people will say after my victory: “Ah, he's too small, Khabib is too big”, explained Khabib.

Without Conor McGregor as an option, since the lightweight champion must stay out of the Octagon for the next ten months, Nurmagomedov demanded a fight with Tony Ferguson.

“I'm asking for the fight that the whole world wants to see, give me Tony Ferguson. You never married two guys with eight and nine winning streaks, respectively. Never in UFC history! Tell people the truth.”

Khabib (number 1 in the lightweight rankings) is undefeated in his MMA career, with 24 victories, eight of them in Ultimate. Ferguson, in second place in the ranking, has nine consecutive victories, leaving names like Edson Barboza and former champion Rafael Dos Anjos.
