North American Dillon Danis is one of the exponents of jiu-jitsu, but he was not well known among MMA fans. That changed when he started training Conor McGregor. And it seems that the jiu-jitsu champion himself wants to try to repeat his student's success in the UFC.
In an interview with the program “The MMA Hour”, Danis said that he could debut in MMA with Ultimate and even asked for a fight with one of the favorites of the event, Sage Northcutt.
“Sage would be an easy fight for me. It would just be about getting there and winning. It would be an easy fight, just to open the works. Beating someone with a decent name.”, Danis teased.
In addition to Northcutt, who is coming off a defeat to Mickey gall at UFC Sacramento, the jiu-jitsu fighter also provoked Nate diaz, McGregor's previous opponent. The UFC lightweight complained about Danis training an Irishman and Dillon said they could resolve their differences on the mat.
