Removed from the UFC 207 card, an event that takes place next Friday (30), due to an injury to his opponent Cain Velásquez, Fabricio Werdum It is already targeting 2017.
Through a post on a social network, Werdum published a montage alongside Stipe Miocic, current heavyweight champion, and hinted that a rematch between them will happen next year. “I can only say one thing: it will happen! #2017”, he wrote in the caption.
Werdum and Miocic faced each other for the first time in May this year, at UFC 198, when the Brazilian was knocked out and lost the division belt. Since then, “Vai Cavalo” and Miocic have fought once again, interestingly on the same card, at UFC 203: Fabrício defeated Travis Browne via judges' decision, while the champion maintained his reign by knocking out alistair overeem.
