The controversial weight cuts of Chris Cyborg to work in the UFC continue to be a cause for concern for the fighter. Originally from the featherweight category (up to 66kg), the Brazilian performed twice in Ultimate at catchweight (up to 63,5kg), and in the last fight, when she knocked out Lina Lansberg in the UFC Brasilia, in September, he lost 11 kilos in four days.

According to the Brazilian herself, drastic diets can lead to problems in the future. “I can't do this to my body all the time. I don't know, but maybe something really bad will happen to me (..). I would like people to respect me as a world champion, because I am a world champion, but people think I don't know that I am”, said, in an interview with the program 'Outside the Lines on ESPN (USA)'.

Last week the UFC announced the creation of the women's featherweight category, but surprised by scaling Holly holm x Germain de Randamie for the division's inaugural belt fight, leaving Cyborg out. The fight will take place at UFC 208, scheduled for February 11th, in Brooklyn (USA).

Chris Cyborg, 31 years old, is the Invicta FC featherweight champion and has already had two fights in Ultimate, both at catchweight (up to 63,5kg). Her debut came at UFC 198, in Curitiba, in May, when she knocked out Leslie Smith. Afterwards, she knocked out Lina Lansberg in the UFC Brasilia, in September of this year.
