Alvarez and Edson Barboza are promoted to brown belts in jiu-jitsu

The UFC Fortaleza card, scheduled for March 11, 2017, already has the second fight confirmed. The carioca Edson Barboza faces Beneil Dariush, in a duel valid for the lightweight category. The information is from the website 'Combate.com'.

At 30 years old, Barboza is going through a good moment in his career, with two consecutive victories – he won Anthony Pettis, last April, and Gilbert Melendez, in July, both by unanimous decision. Number 5 in the division ranking, Edson has not lost since December 2015, when he was submitted by Tony Ferguson. In total, there are 16 fights held in the company, with 12 positive results and four negative results.

Dariush, 9th on the list, also comes from two consecutive victories. He knocked out James Vick in June this year and beat Rashid Magomedov on points in November.
