The fight

The two started studying each other a lot in the center of the octagon, with the Canadian risking some blows. Sucuri, considerably smaller than her opponent, struck at the waistline, but was taken down after attempting a kick to the body. On the ground, Letourneau worked striking from above, but the Brazilian managed to defend herself and got back to her feet. In the clinch, Viviane pressed the former challenger against the fence until the end of the round, but without much effectiveness.

The second round started in a similar way to the first, with both measuring the distance without exposing themselves too much. With his greater wingspan, Letourneau began connecting blows on the Brazilian, who was unable to respond in kind. Aware of the disadvantage in the striking, Sucuri sought the clinch again, and scored a nice takedown. On the ground, he was within the guard of the Canadian, who was trying to arrest her opponent. With 30 seconds left in the round, Valerie managed to get up, but nothing significant happened.

Letourneau returned to the last round, surrounding Viviane, who was circulating around the octagon and firing a few straight shots. The fight remained standing, with both releasing a few blows, without much force. Sucuri started kicking her opponent's leg and attempted a takedown, without success. In the final stretch, the Brazilian grew in combat and landed a left cross, but was unable to follow up. The two even rehearsed a frank exchange in the final seconds, but they didn't have time for anything else.
