Brazilian Roan Jucão will have his second fight since returning to welterweight at UFC 208, on February 11, against American Ryan LaFlare. The 38-year-old veteran of 31 MMA fights (21 wins and 10 losses) is coming off a split decision victory over Kenny Robertson at UFC Hidalgo on September 17. The information is from the Combate channel website.
Ryan LaFlare hasn't fought since December 2015, when he beat Mike Pierce via unanimous decision at the TUF 22 Finale. Before that, he had had his first main fight in Ultimate, when he suffered the only defeat of his career against the Brazilian Demian Maia, at UFC Rio in March last year.
The duel between the American and Brazilian has extra motivation for both, as they represent rival academies. Jucão is one of the coaches at American Top Team, while LaFlare is part of their preparation with the Blackzilians.
Jucão is the fourth Brazilian confirmed for the event, after Luiz Henrique KLB (faces Marcin tybura), Glover Teixeira (handle Jared Cannonier) to Wilson reis (duel with Yuta Sasaki) will also be selected for UFC 208.
