The middleweight Thiago Marreta will try to overcome the bad phase within the UFC in Canada, but only in 2017. The Brazilian was chosen by Ultimate to take part in the event that the organization will hold in Halifax, on February 19, and will face Welshman Jack Marshman. The information is from the Combate channel website.
Marreta comes from two consecutive defeats, after having a good run at middleweight. Before losing to Gegard Mousasi and Eric Spicely, the Rio native had four consecutive victories at 84kg, including good victories over Elias Theodorou and Nate Marquardt.
Marshman will only have his second fight in the UFC. The middleweight is the first Welshman to fight for Ultimate and debuted with a technical knockout victory over Magnus Cedenblad at UFC Belfast, held last month.
