Glover Teixeira He already has a date and opponent to return to the Octagon. The Brazilian light heavyweight will face Jimi Manuwa at UFC 208, an event that will take place in Anaheim, California, on January 21st. The information is from the North American website “FloCombat”.
Glover, 27, hasn't fought since August this year, when he was knocked out in just 13 seconds by Anthony Johnson, at UFC 202. Number three in the category's ranking, the Minas Gerais native has eight wins and three losses in the organization, and has already competed for the division title, but was surpassed by Jon Jones.
Manuwa experiences the opposite situation. 5th in the rankings, the English/Nigerian comes from a devastating knockout over Ovince St.Preux at UFC 204, last October. At 36 years old, Jimi has five triumphs and two setbacks in Ultimate.
Glover is the second Brazilian scheduled for the UFC 208 card. Previously, it was confirmed that the flyweight Wilson reis will also fight at the event – he will face Japanese Ulka Sasaki.
