UFC 208, an event that will take place on January 21st at the Honda Center, in California (USA), won its first fight. This is a flyweight duel between the Brazilian Wilson reis and the Japanese Ulka Sasaki. The information is from the “MMA Fighting” website (USA).
Reis, 5th in the flyweight rankings, is coming off two consecutive victories, over Dustin Ortiz and Hector Sandoval, both in 2016. The Brazilian was scheduled to face the champion Demetrious Johnson at UFC 201, in July this year, but DJ was injured and was forced to leave the card, postponing Reis' dream of fighting for the belt. In Ultimate, he has five wins and two losses.
Sasaki is also coming off a positive result, after submitting Willie Gates in his flyweight debut last May. Previously, he had had three fights in the UFC (as a bantamweight), with one triumph and two setbacks, including one against Brazilian Leandro Issa.
