Even though he lost massively in his UFC debut, CM Punk still hasn't given up on returning to the Octagon. The former pro-wrestling star assured that he is thinking about testing himself again in professional MMA and trusts that this will happen in the biggest fight organization on the planet.
Punk, 38 years old, had his first MMA fight in September this year, on the main card of UFC 203. At the time, he ended up defeated by Mickey gall still in the first round, and he could do little to threaten his rival.
Despite not having heard guarantees from Dana White (UFC president) that he will return to Ultimate, Punk believes there is a chance of returning. “I don't want to speak for him, but I think if he wanted to kill [his return to the UFC], he would have killed it already. Until something is made official, I don't want to say what he thinks. But, yes, I'm quite confident that he will be in the UFC. I told him I want to fight again. We're back training, so it's up to him. We are in conversations right now,” he revealed, in an interview with “The MMA Hour” podcast.
CM Punk gained fame in the United States for his long participation in WWE. His UFC debut was announced in December 2014, and Punk underwent intense training for more than a year to be able to perform in the octagon.
