“I'm going to come back more focused for this fight, with more desire to fight, I'm coming off a defeat and I'm going to put on a show for everyone. I'm fighting at home, in front of my friends and family. I have everything I need to put on a great show”, said Thominhas, in an exclusive interview with Super Lutas.

Asked about his biggest learning after the defeat, the bantamweight stated that he will have a different stance next Saturday. “I learned that I have to move more, move and not be so fixed. I have to make the opponent play my game, not me play his game”, said the fighter.

Albert Morales, the Brazilian's opponent, is having only his second fight in the UFC and is considered an “unknown” to the general public. However, Thomas assures that he has studied his opponent and knows that he cannot underestimate him.

“I watched all seven of his fights, the last one in the UFC, and he is an aggressive guy, he likes striking, he comes forward. On the ground he looks for submissions all the time, he has a bigger wingspan than me, so I have to be careful. As I said, I have to make him join my dance, not stop me at his game. When I feel comfortable, I’ll put my hand out and I know he’s going to fall”, declared Almeida.

Currently in 11th place in the bantamweight rankings, Thominhas reiterates that his desire is to win to return to being among the best in the category. “I asked for a fight, I never chose an opponent. I just wanted to fight, fight in São Paulo and they gave me Albert (Morales), who is a very tough guy, he is undefeated, so it has everything to be a great fight. I want this victory and then go up more and more in my career, continue gaining experience and always be looking for the belt, which is my biggest goal”, he concluded.
