the average weight Yoel romero practically guaranteed his position as the next challenger to the champion Michael Bisping after knocking out Chris Weidman brutally at UFC 205, last Saturday (12), in New York. After the duel, Bisping, who was at Madison Square Garden, appeared on the screen making obscene gestures towards Yoel at the end of the fight, a fact that, according to himself Cuban, messed with the Englishman's head.

“I already got him. Of course I'm already in his head. Yes (he is scared of me). Four years ago, I lived in Germany, I had just moved from Cuba, where I had a great reputation in wrestling and was internationally recognized. At that time, the Michael Bisping trained with Rampage Jackson in England and they asked me to help them with wrestling. It seems like he forgot that, because after what happened with USADA, he called me a cheater, a liar and I think he forgot that one day he asked for help from the “liar” here.

When an animal bites the hand of the person who feeds it, it’s because something has to happen”, said the fighter after the event.

However, Romero clarified that he was unable to help Bisping at the time, but again criticized the champion's stance.

“I never got to help him, because I didn't have much time to do that at that time. But I know he would have loved to have learned wrestling from me. Everything he said about me really upsets me. You need to respect your opponents or training partners and he has no respect. We can destroy each other or rip each other's heads off inside the Octagon, but we have to respect each other on the outside. Still, this is just another fight for me. He’s asking for the fight at UFC 206. I’m ready,” he concluded.

Yoel romero, 39 years old, still doesn't know what it's like to lose in the UFC. In the organization since 2013, he won eight fights, six of which by knockout. In total, he had a record with 12 wins and just one defeat, against the Brazilian Rafael Feijão, in the extinct organization “Strikeforce”. Interestingly, this was the Cuban's last fight before landing in Ultimate.
