New UFC lightweight champion, Conor McGregor impressed a lot of people with his performance last Saturday (12), when he dispatched Eddie Alvarez to win the title. One of them was Mark Henry, Eddie Alvarez's striking coach, who was delighted with the technique presented by the Irishman in the Octagon.

Henry, who also trains the likes of Frankie Edgar e Edson Barboza, commented that McGregor completely dominates movement in stand-up fighting, which would even put him in a position to beat Floyd Mayweather in a boxing duel.
“You can’t teach someone how to do that. It requires hips, shoulders, wrists, and several small mechanics. It's like [former baseball player] Babe Ruth: compare Conor's movement to Babe Ruth's. I've always noticed this, but seeing it up close is something else. This appears once in a lifetime or once in a hundred years. I think God blessed him with this movement that I will never see again. Before this fight, I had serious doubts about his fight with Mayweather, but now I think this guy can beat him. I'm not kidding”, praised Henry, in an interview with the radio program “The Luke Thomas Show”.
McGregor won the lightweight belt by knocking out Alvarez in the second round. With the victory, the Irishman became the first athlete in history to hold two titles at the same time, as he is also champion of the featherweight division.
