Apparently, the Brazilian Demian Maia will have to wait a little longer to receive his long-awaited chance to compete for the welterweight belt. Woodley and Thompson faced each other in the second most important fight of UFC 205. After five rounds played at a high level, the duel was declared a majority draw (47×47, 47×47, 48×47), a result that kept Woodley the title, who successfully completed his first title defense.
