Disappointed with his departure from UFC 205, Rashad evans explained that a small medical problem caused him to be barred from the historic attraction, which takes place this Saturday (12), in New York (USA).

Evans, who would make his middleweight debut (up to 84 kg) against Tim Kennedy, revealed to the “MMA Fighting” website that the whole story began in an exam carried out on October 19th. At the time, an MRI found an irregularity in the fighter, which required new tests.

Even though these new exams did not present any problems, the New York Athletic Commission decided to bar Evans' license. "I'm disappointed. I'm healthy. I don't want anyone to worry about me. I'm fine, physically speaking. I've never felt better. It's just the commission with its rules. I think they have a zero tolerance policy when it comes to this,” commented Evans.

Despite not fighting, both Evans and Kennedy will receive their normal salaries at UFC 205. The event will mark the Octagon's debut in New York City.
