Conor McGregor will be prepared for all of Eddie Alvarez's attempts in the main fight of UFC 205, an event that takes place this Saturday (12), in New York (USA). This is what Owen Roddy, the Irish athlete's striking coach, guarantees.

Even if it is a wrestler, Alvarez is also known for his hard-hitting strikes. This was seen in his last fight, in July, when he knocked out Rafael dos Anjos to win the UFC lightweight belt.

However, Roddy was certain that McGregor will not be surprised by his opponent next weekend. “Eddie will approach as he always approaches: with his head down, throwing strong blows and looking for a takedown. We have fought against opponents of this type several times and I think we have all the answers for that. I try to throw shots that I think Alvarez will throw and McGregor has been able to react. His reactions are so quick, with excellent timing. Conor will have a response to every blow that Eddie throws”, said Roddy, in an interview with the English newspaper “Metro”.

Current featherweight champion, McGregor will attempt an unprecedented feat at UFC 205. If he wins and also becomes number one in the lightweight division, the Irishman will be the first athlete in the history of Ultimate to hold two belts simultaneously.
