Tony Ferguson left UFC Fight Night México, on Saturday night (5), with many reasons to celebrate. In addition to having won Rafael dos Anjos and getting even closer to a title fight, the American took home an extra amount of money.
Ferguson and Dos Anjos' duel was voted the event's “Fight of the Night”. Thus, the two athletes take home US$50 (R$161 at current prices) as a reward for their achievement. The fight was won by Ferguson in a unanimous decision by the judges after five busy rounds.
The only Brazilian to win on the night, Douglas D'Silva also received the same amount. The man from Pará, who knocked out Henry Briones on the preliminary card, was chosen as one of those responsible for the “Performance of the Night”. The other was Ricardo Lamas, who finished Charles of the Bronx. D'Silva and Lamas also take home an extra $50.
