The climate warmed up once in a while Conor McGregor and Eddie Alvarez. In the telephone press conference to promote UFC 205, the two protagonists of the November 12th event exchanged several provocations and spiced up the rivalry even more.

One of the highlights was McGregor's response to a statement from Alvarez regarding his MMA resume. The American minimized the competition faced by the Irishman and stated that, “if he had faced the same opponents he faced”, he would also have achieved resounding victories. Furthermore, Alvarez once again said that, in terms of style, McGregor does not represent a complicated fight.

That's when McGregor raised his voice and fired harsh words at his competitor. “He says I’m an easy fight for him. I will punish you for those words. I'm going to retire him. You won't fight anymore after this. I'm going to play with this guy. I'm going to mess up your entire facial structure. His wife and children will not recognize him again. I know he's durable, but he's never been hit by someone like me. I can’t see him lasting more than one round”, he predicted.

McGregor, featherweight champion, and Alvarez, lightweight champion, will take part in the main fight in New York (USA). If he wins, the Irishman will achieve an unprecedented feat: he will be the first fighter in history to hold two UFC belts simultaneously.
