Former champion of the UFC women's bantamweight division, Miesha Tate considers Ronda Rousey slightly favorite against Amanda nunes in the main fight of UFC 207, on December 30th, when the American will try to regain the category belt.

Miesha knows both fighters well: she has already been defeated twice by Ronda and once by Amanda, precisely in the fight that lost her the title. The former belt holder believes that Ronda has more resources in grappling, and that this could tip the balance in the duel.

“I think if Ronda is at her peak, I would probably say she wins. I always tend to favor grappling reps. I simply prefer it. I think it's more likely that the fight will go to the ground and end there than a knockout. This is more unusual in women's MMA. So, I think Ronda is the strongest in grappling,” she said, in an interview with the website of the North American broadcaster “ESPN”.

However, Miesha made a reservation about the fact that Ronda hasn't fought since she lost to Holly holm, in November last year. “But I don’t know how Ronda will appear. I think I know which Amanda will show up, but Ronda has been away for a long time. Getting rusty is a very real thing, and she doesn't like taking punches. She knows that Amanda has a heavy hand, and after being knocked out by Holly, could this change the mindset of someone like Ronda, who she believed was untouchable? It’s difficult to say who wins because it depends on which version of Ronda will appear”, he pondered.

The fight between Amanda and Ronda will be the main attraction of UFC 207. The event takes place at the T-Mobile Arena, in Las Vegas, in the United States.
