Former UFC middleweight champion, Luke Rockhold apologized for being removed from the main fight of UFC Fight Night Melbourne, an event that takes place on November 27th, in Australia. The North American suffered an injury and was forced to abandon his duel against Ronaldo Jacare.
In a post made on his Instagram account, Rockhold sent a message to the public and the Brazilian fighter and gave few details about the injury he suffered. “Right now, there is nothing I want more than to return to the Octagon and do what I love most. Unfortunately, due to an injury to my left knee, I had to leave the fight. I apologize to the UFC, Jacaré and, most importantly, the fans. I will come back better than ever in the hunt for the belt,” he wrote.
In his most recent fight, Rockhold was knocked out by Michael Bisping, which cost him the category belt.
