In addition to Lamas, Charles has another concern for Saturday's fight: the famous altitude of more than 2 meters in Mexico City, a factor that could be harmful to the fighter's gas during the fight.

“I took this fight at the last minute, so we are focusing on what we can and trying to evolve. We are pushing our physical preparation, doing some things to be able to stay well there, but we know it will be bad and that everyone will feel it. I’m going to try to win as quickly as possible so as not to give the altitude a chance to get in the way,” said Oliveira.

“He is a complete fighter, he has very good wrestling, he is good at jiu-jitsu and standing up. He respects his opponent. I'm going to be patient, working on my striking and trying to do what I do best, which is my jiu-jitsu. I'm sure it's going to be a great fight. I will move forward all the time and try to put on a show, which is what the public wants to see,” he concluded.
