After publication, the Brazilian revealed that no one was satisfied with the agreement and that it lost a lot of money due to the UFC's requirement for athletes to use the brand.
“I didn't get a fine because I don't have a contract with Reebok, but they removed me from broadcasts as a UFC commentator, where I worked for the last three years and did an excellent job together with my teammates. It was considered the best Spanish-language broadcast in the world. So, I wasn’t happy about it, I thought it was absurd,” said Werdum through a Facebook post.
“I don't have a contract with Reebok on a daily basis, I don't have anything. I just have to be with Reebok on fight day. So I have nothing against them, I just don't think it's fair, because before Reebok entered the UFC, I earned US$150, US$180 and even US$200, and now I only earn US$5. . I don’t think it’s fair, after 20 years as an MMA fighter, for me to win this”, he added.
