This Tuesday (25), Werdum posted an image on his social networks in which he appears wearing a competitor's brand, and wrote: “I'm not generic, I've been Nike since I was a child! #suck #mishuevos #reebok.”
The exclusive agreement between the UFC and the sports clothing and accessories brand came into force in July 2015, but received numerous criticisms from fans and fighters, both due to the “dubious” taste of the uniform designer and the agreement that prohibits exhibition from other brands and sponsorships, which automatically harmed the athletes' revenue potential.
The image also records the Brazilian's next duel, who has a fight scheduled against Cain Velásquez at UFC 207, on December 30, in Las Vegas. The fight marks the meeting of former champions of the category, with the victor becoming the likely next heavyweight challenger.
