Confident in his innocence in the doping case in which he is involved, Jon Jones sent a message to the other fighters in the UFC light heavyweight category. The interim champion guaranteed that it was not banned substances that helped him win his fights inside the octagon.

Jones would face Daniel Cormier for the division's definitive belt in July, at UFC 200. However, the North American was withdrawn from the fight in the run-up to it after being found using estrogen blockers in a pre-fight anti-doping test.
This week, Jones' lawyer revealed that the United States Anti-Doping Agency (USADA) confirmed that banned substances were found in a contaminated supplement ingested by the fighter. If this is confirmed, Jones' suspension could be drastically reduced.
So, Jones took to Twitter to write a message aimed at his opponents. “That’s right, light heavyweight category. That means you guys took a fair beating from me. I listened to all your interviews. Steroids didn't give me the belief that I'm the baddest son of a bitch on the planet. They didn't give me the strength to win victories in the last minutes of title fights. Steroids never give you the intelligence to fight, they don't make you more technical. They didn't give me the idea of setting a goal, following my dreams and working hard every day at the gym. I know I deserved every bit of my success, every fight I won. Knowing this helps me not worry when things get difficult. I am more than a conqueror. I have what it takes to win,” he wrote.
The doping case involving Jon Jones will be judged on October 31st by the Nevada Athletic Commission, in Las Vegas (USA).
