Marlon Sandro (right) wins Nazareno Malegarie
The Brazilian Marlon sandro is in the final of the Bellator featherweight GP. The Nova União athlete faced Nazareno Malegarie and defeated the Argentine, based in Santa Catarina, in a unanimous decision by the judges. The duel was held in edition number 47 of the show, held in the early hours of Saturday (23) to Sunday (24), in Ontario, Canada.
Specialists in ground fighting, the duel between Marlon and Mazareno took place most of the time in striking. With sharp boxing, the Brazilian struck better and defended Malegarie's takedown attempts. In the last round, Sandro still managed two takedowns, which guaranteed victory in the judges' unanimous decision. With the triumph, the Tupiniquim athlete faces the North American in the grand final Pat curran, who defeated his compatriot Ronnie mann, at the same event.
The fight program also featured another Brazilian in action: Performing on the preliminary card, Alexandre “Popó” needed just 1m:22s to finish the North American Jesse Gross, with a rear naked choke, and confirm his tenth victory in his career.
