The police in Moscow, Russia, began an investigation into the attacks suffered by the teenage daughter of Fedor Emelianenko, considered one of the biggest names in MMA history, last weekend.
The 16-year-old girl was attacked by a man while returning from school, in the center of the Russian capital. She was taken to the hospital and remains in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), but is not at risk. The teenager is conscious and is already cooperating with police investigations.
The suspicion is that the attacker is a man, motivated by issues of “ethnic hatred”. Serious assaults on minors can be punished by up to two years in prison in Russia.
Emelianenko, who has already defeated names like Rodrigo Minotauro, Mirko Cro Cop, Andrei Arlovsk, Mark Hunt and Mark Coleman, currently training for his next fight, which should be at the end of the year, in Japan.
