The increasingly frequent presence of MMA fighters on the big and small screen around the world is nothing new. After Renzo Gracie's appearances, Forrest griffin in the series Law and Order, and other fighters like Randy Couture in various films and series, now it's Rich Franklin's turn.
The former UFC champion, who has been recovering from the injuries suffered in the brutal defeat to the Brazilian Anderson Silva, will star in a new film called “Weapon”, which still has no release date in the United States.
In the feature film, Rich will play a genetically modified super soldier who is apprehended by a customs agent. His creator will hunt them both tirelessly, promising a lot of action to fans of the genre and especially the fighter. It remains to be seen whether he will be offered the role of the man who will hunt Rich Franklin Anderson Silva.
