The Brazilian Willamy “Chiquerim” Freire had his debut on Dream postponed this afternoon (06). The lightweight was removed from the card for the 17th edition of the event after injuring the ligaments in his right hand during his preparation for the fight against Japanese Tatsuya Kawajiri that would take place on the 16th in Tokyo.

The confrontation in question would mark

Chiquerim's return to fighting after being fired from the UFC in January this year. To replace the Nova União athlete, Dream directors chose the experienced North American Drew Fickett. After winning 41 of the 55 fights he fought in his career, Fickett will fight for the first time on Asian soil.
