Recently, Chris Cyborg challenged Ronda Rousey on her social networks, but the Brazilian may have another former UFC bantamweight champion as her next opponent. The North American Miesha Tate, who will face Raquel Pennignton, at UFC 205, on November 12, in New York, revealed old conversations with Ultimate regarding a possible confrontation against Cyborg.

However, the negotiation did not work out because Miesha, at the time, was the Ultimate champion, which made it impossible to hold a catchweight duel. Without the category belt after being defeated by Amanda nunes at UFC 200, last July, the fighter looked favorably on the fight with Cyborg, to the point of joking that she would “lose a few years of her life” after the fight.
“No, they haven’t offered me that fight yet. When I was the champion, they told me I couldn't do this fight at a combined weight. Now that I'm no longer the champion, I could technically fight her at 63,5 pounds and I wouldn't be against it. I think I would have nothing to lose in this, fighting a girl who has so much power, who is a monster and who is crushing other girls. If I go out there and beat her or even lose and win some money, I wouldn't be against doing that, but that's not something that's being discussed. I need to focus on my recovery. She is a very tough fighter, she is much stronger than the media says, she is difficult to take down, difficult to beat, so I know I would be up against someone very tough. Maybe I would lose a few years of my life after that (laughs)” commented Miesha during an interview with the American podcast 'MMA Hour'
Miesha Tahte became UFC bantamweight champion with submission Holly holm March of this year, at UFC 196, but his reign lasted just over four months. At 30 years old, she has eight fights in Ultimate, with five wins and three losses.
