Scheduled to compete in the Smack Girl under-52kg tournament, Ana Maria, the Vale-Tudo Indian, is out of the event that takes place on February 14th in Japan. The BTT athlete weighs 60kg and would have to lose 8kg for the weigh-in that takes place two hours before the event. “I would lose the weight without a problem, but the weigh-in takes place two hours before the fight. I wouldn't be able to lose that weight to fight next. Murilo (Bustamante) talked to me and thought it would be better for me not to sacrifice myself like that”, said Ana Maria, who will support her friend Michelle Tavares (Nova União), the only Brazilian representative in the Smack Girl tournament.
