The Oregon Athletic Commission, responsible for regulating UFC Portland, held last Saturday (01), released this Wednesday (05) the salaries of the 24 fighters who performed at the event. Veteran Nate Marquardt, who knocked out Tamdan McCrory on the preliminary card, was the one who received the biggest prize of the show: US$ 112 thousand (around R$ 361 thousand at current prices).
Among the Brazilians, John Lineker, who defeated John Dodson In the main fight of the night, he had the most reason to smile, even though he was fined 20% of his purse for not making weight before the fight. The bantamweight division made US$72 (around R$232).
Alex Cowboy and Hacran Dias, the other Brazilians fined for overweight, received US$43.200 (R$139 thousand) and US$12.800 (R$41 thousand), respectively. The curious fact came from Will Brooks. The North American, despite the defeat to “Cowboy”, received the third biggest purse of the event – US$ 57.800 thousand (R$ 186 thousand), even surpassing his tormentor.
