UFC champion stands small next to basketball star

Considered the most dominant UFC champion today, Demetrious Johnson stood small next to retired basketball star Shaquille O'Neal. The fighter linked his idol and shared the photo on his Instagram account, but what caught attention was the size difference between the two.

Sovereign in the flyweight division (up to 57 kg), Johnson is 1,60 m tall, compared to no less than 2,16 m for “Shaq”. With a difference of 56 cm, “Mighty Mouse”, as he is known, had his head at the level of the basketball star's chest.

Johnson, 30, has been the UFC flyweight champion since the division was created in 2012. Since then, the American has defended his title eight times, with victories over names like Joseph Benavidez, Henry Cejudo e John Dodson. His next fight will be on December 3rd, against the winner of TUF 24.
