The Brazilian Rafael “Sapo” Natal has a new opponent for his fight at UFC 133. Due to an injury to the left knee of Japanese Riki Fukuda, his original opponent, the middleweight will now face the Cypriot Constantine Philippou in the edition that takes place on August 6th in the United States.
“Sapo” will try to achieve his first victory as a UFC fighter, as he has a record of one draw and one defeat in the organization. After being defeated by Rich Attonito at UFC Fight Night 22, the Minas Gerais native drew with Jesse Bongfeldt at UFC 124, held last December.
In turn, Philippou also doesn't know what it's like to win in Ultimate. In his debut fight at the event, the Cypriot was defeated by the American Nick Catone, by unanimous decision of the judges, in March this year at UFC 128.
In addition to “Sapo”, UFC 133 will also feature the participation of three other Brazilians. Are they: Rogério “Minotouro", Vitor belfort e Rani Yaya. The main attraction of the night will be the clash between light heavyweights Phil Davis e Rashad evans. Check out the full show card below:
