Light heavyweight Francimar Bodão is another Brazilian scheduled for the UFC Fight Night São Paulo card, which takes place on November 19th, at the Ibirapuera gym. The athlete from the Nova União academy, in Rio de Janeiro, will face the newcomer Darren stewart. The information was confirmed by the fighter himself to the website ‘Globoesporte.com’.
Bodão, 36 years old, has already had five fights in Ultimate, with three wins and two losses, and in his last appearance he was submitted by Nikita Krylov, last May. He was due to face CB Dollaway at UFC 203, in Cleveland, this month (10), but the opposing fighter suffered an accident in the hotel elevator and the fight was cancelled.
Darren stewart, in turn, has a perfect record with seven wins in seven fights, five by knockout and two by decision. The duel will mark the Englishman's debut in the organization.
The main fight of UFC Fight Night São Paulo will be between Alexander Gustafson e Rogério Minotouro, and will also feature names like Claudinha gadelha, Thales leites, Cezar Mutant and others.
