Josh Barnett: “I’m the best fighter in this tournament”

the veteran Josh barnett will measure forces against Brett Rogers, at Strikeforce, this Saturday (18), in a duel valid for the quarterfinals of the organization's GP. The heavyweight showed that despite being out of action since October last year, he still has a sharp tongue. In an interview with the North American website Sherdog, Barnett stated that he will punish his compatriot throughout the duel.

“He thinks he can beat me. I've always had that thought since I met him. So I want to see what he does when he’s in front of me in the cage,” Barnet said. “I'm going to hit first, hit last, take him out of his comfort zone and put him under my control”, added Barnett, who put humility aside to claim that he is the best athlete in the GP, which has beasts like Fabrício Werdum, alistair overeem and Antonio Pezão.

“I'm the best fighter in this tournament. I have more experience and I've been fighting the longest. I've faced the best heavyweights, and the fact that some of the guys in this tournament are tops now, well, they weren't when I was fighting. I have the best techniques and I believe I'm the best overall, as well as being the meanest, angriest, and most bloodthirsty among all these guys”, concluded the North American.
