UFC featherweight champion, Jose aldo He never hid his favorite team. Fanatic of Flamengo, the Brazilian raised the club flag after defeating Mark hominick at UFC 129, an event held in April, in Canada. Even before defending the belt, the management of the Rio team was already interested in honoring Aldo, but the lack of dates ended up postponing action. Now, almost two months later, the wait is over and the black belt has received a tribute from Flamengo.
This Tuesday, Aldo, André Pederneiras and other talents from the Nova União team were received by president Patricia Amorim at the club's headquarters. The UFC champion received a shirt with his name, an honorary diploma and a plaque in his honor, which left him very emotional.
“Thank you to Flamengo for the tribute, it’s a great happiness, a dream come true,” Junior posted on Twitter.
