Former Sengoku champion, Sandro had three consecutive knockout victories until losing the Japanese event belt to Japanese Hatsu Hioki last December. Without fighting since then, the tough guy claims to be motivated to start this new phase in his career in search of the Bellator belt.

“My main goal in Bellator is to win the tournament and become world champion. Due to the format of the dispute, there is a quick path to the title. Participating in the featherweight GP gives me the opportunity to be in the biggest MMA competition today,” he said.

In a division full of talent, Sandro is among the main names tipped to win the competition. Despite his favoritism, the fighter guarantees that he will take all necessary precautions so that he is not surprised on his return to the American continent, as, according to him, his opponent has already demonstrated that he is a qualified athlete in his previous fights.

“PQD is a very dangerous guy who has good footwork and powerful kicks. I will have to be very careful with this weapon of yours during the fight. However, I want to make a great presentation so that my hand can be raised at the end of the fight”, he concluded.
