The mystery is over. The confrontation between Khabib Nurmagomedov e Michael Johnson is the last fight announced for the UFC 205 card, an event that marks the organization's debut in New York, on November 12, at the traditional Madison Square Garden. The show will be starred by Conor McGregor and Eddie Alvarez, who will fight for the UFC lightweight belt, and will feature 13 fights in total, with three title fights.

Nurmagomedov was speculated as a possible challenger to Eddie Alvarez, lightweight champion, but ended up being passed over by Conor McGregor. At 28 years old, the Russian has a perfect record in professional MMA, with 23 wins in 23 fights, seven of them in Ultimate, including the Brazilians Rafael dos Anjos, Gleison Tibau and Thiago tavares.

Johnson, in turn, is coming off a recent victory over Dustin poirier, on the 17th, and recovered from a sequence of two defeats. At 30 years old, he has already had 15 fights in the organization, with nine positive results and six negative results.
