The announcement that Conor McGregor will fight for the lightweight belt at UFC 205, in New York (USA), left a lot of people upset. One of them is Vivianne, wife of José Aldo, who criticized the Irishman's decision to move up a division instead of defending his featherweight title.

McGregor won the 66 kg division belt in December last year, when he knocked out Aldo. Since then, the Irishman has had two fights in the UFC, but none of them with his title at stake. The announcement that McGregor will face Eddie Alvarez for the lightweight belt means that the linear featherweight title will not be contested in 2016.
In a message on Instagram, Vivianne asked the UFC to give the definitive featherweight belt to Aldo, who won the interim title in July this year. " I do not know until when Conor McGregor you will run away, but you, for me, will never be champion of anything, because a true champion defends his belt. Well, I just hope they give the real belt to someone who really knows how to be a real champion,” he wrote.
The fight between McGregor and Alvarez will be the main attraction of UFC 205. If he wins, the Irishman will become the first athlete in the history of Ultimate to hold two titles simultaneously.
