The official weigh-in for UFC on Fight Night 95, this Friday (23), in Brasília, was a real party for the local public, who booed the foreign fighters and applauded the Brazilians. Without major emotions, the highlight was Chris Cyborg and Lina Lansberg, protagonists of the event.

After much suspension, Chris Cyborg He overcame the first battle and reached the weight limit stipulated for this fight (64 kg). Lina became a little lighter, weighing 63,5kg. First to step on the scale, Lansberg entered with a light face, smiling. Very different from Cyborg, who came next with a friendly face and the Brazilian flag painted on his face. When it was time to stare, she put her face to the Swedish woman and looked straight into her eyes, while shaking her head in a positive sign.

In the post-face interview, still on stage, Cyborg promised “war” for tomorrow. “I have the flag on my face to say that we are warriors. Regardless of the weight loss, tomorrow will be a show. I trained like I trained for all my other fights”, said the Brazilian. Lansberg, in turn, limited himself to saying that “it will be fun”.

Renan Barão and Massaranduba are applauded by the public

Responsible for the second most important fight of the night, Renan Barao, greatly applauded by the local fans, made an emotionless face with Philippe Nover, who showed respect for the Brazilian. Those who also left the climate quite mild were the heavyweights Antonio Pezão e Roy Nelson. Longtime friends, they shared a long hug after facing each other.

One of the biggest ovations of the night was the lightweight Francisco Massaranduba, adopted as a favorite among Brazilian fans. Concentrated, the Brazilian came very close to the North American during the face-off, but they didn't have any major problems. Eric Spicely, opponent of Thiago Marreta, went on stage provoking the crowd and asking them to raise the tone of the booing, which was promptly attended to. Marreta followed up and had his name shouted. In the face, they would prefer to keep their distance. Geoffrey Pepey, as usual, tried to intimidate his opponent, who did not respond.

In the fight that closes the preliminary portion, the Brazilians Gilbert Durinho and Michel Trator left the atmosphere tense on stage. The two pressed their faces together and stared at each other blankly. Tractor even weighed in at around 900 grams over the weight limit and was the only one of the 26 athletes to not reach the weight limit – he will be fined 20% of his purse, which will go to Durinho.

In the first Brazilian clash of the night, Erick silva and Luan Chagas made the same weight (77,6kg) and had a tense look, but then greeted each other. Glaico France, Vincent Luque e Alan Nuguette, the first Brazilians to step on the scale, opted for respect when they came face to face with their opponents.

O UFC Fight Night 95 will be held this Saturday (24) and will start at 19:30 pm (Brasília time) with coverage of SUPER LUTAS, with narration of the fights in real time, reports of the fights and post-event interviews.
