The Brazilian Thiago “Monstro” Vieira did not succeed in the first edition of Brave Combat Federation, an event that took place this Friday (23) in Isa Town, Bahrain, and is endorsed by Sheikh Khalid bin Hamad al Khalifa. Thiago faced Russian Gadzhimusa Gaziev in the second most important fight of the night, but ended up being knocked out in the first round and saw his unbeaten streak come to an end.

After a start to the fight between the two fighters, “Monstro” took the initiative and was better, using good combinations, including a strong kick to the opponent's waistline, which he did not retreat. However, the Russian took advantage of an opening and landed a well-aimed cross, which knocked the Brazilian out. This was the first defeat of Thiago's career, who until then had eight wins in eight fights, seven of which were by knockout.

In the main fight of the night, the highlight was Abdul Kareem Al Selwady and Rami Aziz, declared rivals who fought in the lightweight division. The fight was fought practically entirely on the ground, without much action from both sides, Al Selwady went to Aziz's back and locked in a rear-naked choke, forcing the Iraqi to give up three taps.

The event also featured representatives from the United States, Mexico, Egypt, Ivory Coast, Philippines, Jordan, among others.
