The UFC Fight Night 101 card, on November 27th, in Melbourne, Australia, begins in earnest. After Ultimate announced that Ronaldo Jacare e Luke Rockhold will face each other in the main attraction of the show, another important fight was announced. This is a middleweight clash between Robert whittaker e Derek Brunson, members of the top 8 in the category. Another fight scheduled for the event was Chris Camozzi x Daniel Kelly, also in the middleweight division.

Whittaker, TUF Smashes champion, hasn't fought since April this year, when he overcame the Brazilian Rafael Sapo in the unanimous decision of the judges. Seventh in the rankings and with five consecutive victories, the Australian has not lost since the beginning of 2014, when he was still in the lower welterweight division. In the UFC, he has seven wins and two losses.
Brunson, in turn, knocked out Uriah Hall last Saturday (17), at UFC Fight Night 94, and increased his undefeated streak in the octagon to five. With four knockouts in a row, all in the first round, Derek was defeated only once in Ultimate, when he was defeated by Yoel romero, in 2014. In total, he won seven and lost just one fight in the organization.
