Dana White schedules Lesnar's return for 2012

the american Brock Lesnar was scheduled to face the Brazilian junior gypsy at UFC 131, June 11, in Vancouver, Canada. However, diverticulitis took the heavyweight out of action and the fighter's career was threatened, as Lesnar had suffered from the same disease between 2008 and 2009. But after UFC 129, held this Saturday (28), the organization's president, Dana White reassured Brock's fans by ensuring that despite the delicate surgery the athlete underwent, he is confident in returning to the Octagon in early 2012.

"Brock Lesnar had surgery yesterday (Saturday), and doctors removed about 12 inches of his colon,” White said. The manager also assured that the heavyweight is doing well after the surgical process. “He (Lesnar) told me that he feels some pain, but he is fine and, most importantly, the operation was a success,” he added. Dana, who has already scheduled Lesnar's return to action.

With Lesnar's health problem, Brazilian Júnior Cigano will face the American Shane carwin, at UFC 131, to define who will be the next challenger for the organization's heavyweight belt, currently held by Cain Velazquez.
