The UFC 205 card, an event that will take place on November 12th in New York (USA), suffered another loss. Gian Villante, who would face the Brazilian Marcos Foot, was injured and will not be able to participate in the event. As a consequence, Pezão was also removed from the show.

The information was revealed on the website of the “Combate” channel. Pezão had announced the duel at the beginning of the month, on his Facebook account. However, with Villante's absence, the UFC will name a new opponent and a new event for his return to the Octagon.

Pezão participated in the third season of the Brazilian reality show and reached the semi-finals. In the UFC, he has already had four fights, with three wins and one loss. Villante, born in New York and training partner of the former champion Chris Weidman, has been an Ultimate athlete since 2013 and has had four wins and four losses in the organization.

This is the third casualty involving the event in New York. To the fifth, who would face the Brazilian Thiago Pitbull, and Robbie Lawler, who would duel with Donald Cerrone, withdrew from the show and were replaced, respectively, by Jim Miller e Kelvin Gastelum.
